Detoxing and Autoimmune Disease

Detoxing is one of the most essential tools when healing from Chronic Lyme Disease, coinfections and other illnesses but also everyone should include more detoxing in their lives. Our systems are so over burdened with toxins from viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, environmental toxins and much, much more. Our poor livers are just trying to keep up and flush as much as possible out!

When our livers cannot keep up with the overload of toxins, we experience symptoms, flare ups or herxheimer reactions. Detoxing will help relieve our liver of those stressors and help rebalance our bodies.

What types of detoxing are right for you? Listen to your body to figure out what will meet your needs!

Types of detoxing

Infrared Saunas: Gets rid of toxins in our system

Dry Brushing: Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system.

Epsom Salt Baths: Epsom salt baths help boost magnesium levels, eliminate toxins, and reduce pain and inflammations.

Coffee Enemas: Coffee Enemas will stimulate the production of glutathione S-transgerase in the liver.

Castor Oil Packs: Castor Oil Packs help the liver and the lymphatic system detox (do not ingest)

Massage and Lymphatic Drainage: Studies show that massage therapy improves functions of the lymphatic system and helps regulate hormones.

Reiki: This is a form of energy healing with the intention of using it to support the body’s natural healing abilities.

Clean Diet & Supplementation: There are many foods, herbs, and supplements you can take to aid your detoxification.
